Foundation and Location
Sylhet Government College is a public college in Sylhet District, Bangladesh. It was established in 1964 and stands in the Tilagarh area of Sylhet city, beside the Sylhet-Tamabil highway.
The green campus on the edge of the city serves as a trusted public institution for higher secondary and undergraduate education for students across the Sylhet region.
Academic Programmes
At the higher secondary level the college teaches Science, Humanities, and Business Studies under the Sylhet Education Board.
Under the National University the college runs Degree (Pass) and Honours programmes. Each department maintains regular classes, internal examinations, and co-curricular activities.
